TDSN 9th Annual Buddy Walk

Online registration will be available in the summer.  
TDSN is pleased to hold our 9th annual Buddy Walk.  The Buddy Walk team is involved in planning for this years walk.  They have confirmed our celebrity entertainer Chris Burke will return to lead our walk.  Lunch and snacks will be provided.  The fun, non-competitive walk will be on a paved trail that circles the park, great for strollers.

Registration opens at 12:30 pm.  Registration booth will be located at the entrance to Anderson Point Park, after the bridge.  A shuttle trolley will be there to help carry you between the parking and registration.

This year's walk will be held at Anderson Point Park, conveniently located at 10 Rogers Lane in Raleigh.  (Google Map)

From I-440 Inner Beltline, take US 64 East, Exit 13B.  Go approximately 2.1 miles, turn right on Rogers Lane.   Go approximately 1.2 miles to the parking lot for Anderson Point Park and the Neuse River Trail on the left.

It is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization – all contributions are tax deductible (the tax code is, 31-1630412).

The Buddy Walk is run entirely by volunteers with no staff overhead cost.

Funds from the Buddy Walk will support education and outreach programs.

The goal of the Walk is to promote understanding and acceptance of people with Down syndrome. Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does or just want to show your support, come and join the Buddy Walk. Anyone can be a buddy!

Here’s How to Get Started!

  1. On the TDSN website you will see a link to the 2007 Buddy Walk – go ahead and  by clicking here!

   2.  Next select TDSN Buddywalk 2007 .

  1. If you have not yet registered please choose the first option – “Register Online Now” and .
 
  1. Next select the number of adults and children that will participate in the event with you and agree to the waiver by checking the small box in order to .
  1. You will be asked to enter your e-mail address and then you will be able to .

 

  1. The next page will ask you your contact information.  Please fill all required fields (denoted by *) and   .

 

  1. You will now be able to choose “Join A Team” or “Create Your Own Team”. 

     ü  If you do not want to be affiliated with a team, you may  .

ü  If you would like to “Join A Team”, select the team of your choice.

ü  If you would like to, “Create Your Own Team” type your team name in the given box and click on “Add Team”.

 If you DO NOT wish to be a part of any team press

At this point you will be able to enter you payment information and receive registration verification for the 2007 Buddy Walk!  

Join A Team!

Select your preferred team and enter your payment information in order to receive registration verification for the 2007 Buddy Walk.  When this page is updated your contribution will be posted to your selected team.  Thank you!  

Create Your Own Team!

1.         Type in your own team name and then click on “Add Team”.  At this point you will be asked to enter your payment information and will then receive registration verification (please remember your registration code starting with JGR***** in order to enter your web page at any later date). 

2.         Next you will be able to create your own team web page!  Start by creating a simple address. 

3.         Choose a target for your fundraising goal. 

4.         Then choose to add a personal photo or pick one of their icons. 

5.         Enter the amount of money, if any, that you have collected offline.

6.         Lastly add a personal thank you that will be sent with a receipt to all those who visit your page.  Good Luck and see you at the Buddy Walk!!
